Developed through extensive research, including a survey of 50 SME manufacturers and iterative testing, the workshop has been fine-tuned to meet the expectations and needs of facilitator designers and clients alike. The design team, led by Victor Wu and Craig Bossley, has ensured that the workshop is user-friendly, with materials easily printable and adaptable to various business scenarios.

The workshop's operational model positions the designer as a facilitator, guiding clients through a structured discussion to map out production steps, resource inputs and outputs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Since its inception in March 2023, the Leakage Awareness workshop has undergone rigorous development, culminating in its selection for showcase by the Taiwan Design Research Institute in 2024. The workshop's effectiveness is further underscored by its recognition as a Bronze winner in the A' Meta, Strategic and Service Design Award category, validating its role in enhancing quality of life and contributing to a better world.
